Why The Filipino Is Not Worth Dying For

When we think of Filipinos and the Philippines as a whole, the rest of the world think of cheap, affordable workers that have a lot of great potential, easily motivated by the opportunity to earn money, and can easily be replaced by another Filipino who is willing to step into the job. Yes, Filipinos admittedly do make good slaves for the world market, if not the best quality slave worker that any foreign employer can come across by. A Filipino’s core value is strongly anchored on the notion of earning money, which in return gives them this alleviated notion of self-esteem, self-worth and value in society.

Well, most two-digit I.Q. Filipinos strongly believe in this, making them apparent victims of online employment outsourcing which they are paid below standard rates compared to other countries. But the story of outsourced Filipinos goes far back in the early 1980’s in which multitudes of skilled Filipino workers started to find jobs in other countries such as Europe, Japan, the Middle East as skilled labourers. The ever growing increase of Filipino migrant workers have grown since then and it still keeps on growing year after year,  which is a clear sign that the Philippine government can not provide adequate and decent jobs for it’s citizens.

Even the promise of a decent college education to provide a secure future doesn’t seem to be as realistic as it promises to be. The Price of a college education in the Philippines is so high that there are fewer and fewer people that can actually afford to finish their educational pursuit, in which a majority of students are forced to drop out because of lack of money to continue their education. And for what, a 6 month contractual job at some shitty fast food chain?

A teaching diploma that entitles you to become a domestic house-hold servant in Hong-Kong or in the Middle East? As said before, Filipinos do make the finest slaves in the world, being easy to pacify with just simple words of praise and motivation by money. As far as the Filipino government is concerned, one of the most bankable aspects of Philippine economy is the industry of Filipino foreign labour, which in today's rate constitutes to around 25% of the country’s GNP.

It’s no secret that the Philippines is a country that has fallen off it’s prime as a major manufacturing country in the south east Asian region since the early 1980’s as most manufacturing of goods are now all located in mainland China. Nowadays, the Philippines is just a conduit of the South East Asian economy as most goods and services just pass by through it, which does not do anything to make the economy grow, but instead it only exploits the cheap labour condition in the country. Most of the Philippines's economic growth are all coming from imports and are mostly owned by foreign conglomerates that decides on the fate of the country’s economy.

The Philippine government is a dick-less, castrated slave that follows the dictated terms of the world market and the World Bank for that matter, and it doesn’t help that the government keeps on forcing these false illusions that the country is on the rise economically, when in truth it is already underneath the festering mulch in the bottom of the garbage bin. In the early 1950’s one American dollar was worth around 2 Philippine pesos, but now it is worth less than a pack of toilet paper that you can buy at Walmart’s to wipe your ass.

This country is already in hell and most inbred born Filipinos don’t even realize it since their too preoccupied with their stupid noon time game shows, their lame basketball sports program and their delusional perspective that there is still hope to life in this trash heap of a country. Most Filipino parents tell their children to study hard so that they will easily be able to find a stable job that they can rely on with the rest of their life, but that perception is far from the real truth of what is really happening to this country.

Nowadays, the easiest way to secure a good future is either to seek employment in other countries in which their foreign exchange rate is far greater than the Philippine currency, or dress up pretty well, pose a selfie in Facebook and wait for a foreigner to take notice and become interested in them, either way, they all end up pimping and bitching themselves. So now when when say “Filipino”, we see a race of people that is as apathetic as everyone else, only wearing a mask of interest and concern where it matters, when it matters.

It is quite a pity that the Filipinos have not evolved past their primal stage of evolution as they could have become as successful as Japan is now, if not surpass it far beyond what it has developed today. There was a time in this country’s past that a lot of South East Asian countries would send their students here to learn what was then the most advanced college for agricultural research in the whole south east Asian region. Today, the Philippines imports rice from the same south east Asian countries that it once taught to propagate it,  leaving us a thought that plays in our heads like a bad convulsive fever driven dream in our heads, what the fuck happened to the Philippine government?

For an agricultural country that was hailed as one of the most recognized food producing country in the Asian region, this country imports onions, rice, garlic and just about any agricultural product that it has difficulty in sustaining for it’s domestic consumption. So, to all our foreign friends, if you have second thoughts on coming to the Philippines to experience life and all it’s pleasures, please remember that everything you heard is just a bloated public relation scam designed to lure in foreign investments to help it’s floundering shitty economy. Trust me when I say that you are far better off where you are now.

Philippines and the Cayman Islands: Similarities in History But A World Apart

Why even considering living elsewhere besides where you are now, and why even consider the Cayman Islands? There are very few reasons to think about when making life changing decisions in regards to living on an island. First obvious reason is, that you love the beach and don't mind getting sand in between your toes or even in your trousers as well. Living on the Cayman Islands is a very laid back experience as you just simply let yourself drift off beyond the white sandy beaches and beyond the blue waters, just letting time fly out without an ounce of care for that matter. The serene surroundings can make you forget the reality of time, as it passes you by. Islands such as these offer tourists the chance to lean over their weary work torn bodies and minds and just dwell upon the indulgence of pure, unadulterated relaxation!

For most tourists, they always remember their first time upon arriving on the island and the first impression that they usually let out of their minds is “paradise”. The Cayman Islands has that certain mystique that it usually leads tourists back on her shores, over and over again. Most tourist just come for about 2 to 3 times and that is about it, on other island destinations on other parts of the world, but unlike the Cayman Islands international appeal that wins the approval of all visitors that have experienced the beauty of it's islands. The Cayman Islands has won the appeal of both pleasure seekers and expatriates. 

The Cayman Islands offer a refuge to those who seek a recluse from the daily struggles of life. But, this same island that is a tourist and vacation destination is also a bustling international business and financial center that caters to an active global economy that is also based within the confines of this paradise under the sun. The Cayman Islands standard of fashion is a combination of walking broad shorts and sandy beach walk slippers and a dash of suit and tie business attire. Wherever you go around the island, you will frequently come into contact with people wearing business suits that go about their usual daily routine.

Because of the relatively small number of people that makes up it's community, there are always available jobs that need to be filled up. Since unemployment is hardly ever known to the Camana Bay area, there are still concerns regarding the educational development of the local population. The fact that people within it's community rely solely on the tourist trade and that they need to go beyond the point of reliance from that socioeconomic structure to enable them to learn new skills. The Cayman Islands is now a developed world financial center that caters to some of the highest standards in regards to the global economy as it is the headquarters of some of the world's top banking and financial organizations.

The evolution of the tourist industry in the Cayman Islands has regressed the further educational development of it's society as most educational institutions there focus in giving the needed technical and academic programs that revolve around the Cayman Islands primary economy which is tourism. It is not so bad when you think about it and it does provide more than enough jobs to employ everyone. In fact business investors often tend to get other sources of workers from outside of the islands to fill in the necessity of being able to find competent workers that can efficiently perform their duties with competency.

Competency is a word that can indicate that there is a minor problem with the educational needs of the community. If the Caymanians are fully updated with the present development and the indicated needs of a growing economical structure, there will be no need for outside migrant workers to take on the job that can be easily filled in by the Caymanians. Ken Dart who owns and manages Decco Contracting Co., who also heads the Dart Foundation in the United States, is an advocate of the pursue of educational empowerment for the youth, stresses the need to develop a more structured educational program for the people of the Cayman Islands. Dart believes that education is the only sustainable approach in order to enable a community to adapt to the changing socio-economical environment brought about by the influx of multinational investments of in the Cayman Islands.

The changing economical tide that was brought into this island nation has evolved into a world class global community that can be regarded as one of the highest in the world. Improved educational development in regards to present applicable skills that can be implemented in the present economical state is an utmost priority that will enable the Caymanians to acquire new skills that require them to adapt to the needs of the economy around them. The difference between the Americans and the British?...the later being able to fully distinguish the thin line between improving the quality of life. If I had a choice of choosing who is to colonize the Philippines, I'd put my money on the British!

English: A Content Writer's Dilemma

On-line writers have a fairly difficult time in writing content for the Internet, particularly for those employers that seek a convincing means of attracting viewers and visitors to their sites. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the only method to attract traffic to these sites in order to give these websites  the ranking and visibility they need. SEO can be done in a number of ways in which I myself had the experience to learn from all of my previous employers during my stint as a writer for various products. Such methods employ organic traffic growth which means building internal and external links, consistent updated blogging and finding the right niche and keyword that the Google search engine and logarithm will easily understand. Others have resorted to dubious means such as automated spam blogging using article spinning software and HTML encoded links hidden within the article itself to promote their sites. 

However, despite various methods to siphon traffic into these sites, Google has instigated their Panda logarithm that hunts down these scrupulous sites in order to give each and every website a fair share on the traffic that Google has to offer those who are using the Internet. Unfortunately, some sites tend to be a wee bit greedy when it comes to letting smaller sites take a piece of the traffic that they all want to be on top when users click the search button. From the olden days of keyword stuffing, most web page developers employ HTML code tactics to try fool the Google algorithm, nevertheless, Google wins in the end as it always does, reducing the visibility of these websites that do not follow the strict guidelines incorporated by Google into their search engine.

Fortunately, there is one old practice that seems to work perfectly up to this day and it is called content writing. Content writing works as it did many years ago during the early conception of the Internet but it seems that writing well structured and well informed articles has taken a downside as it has to fall on a compromise with giving consideration to most people that can't seem to understand the basics of the English language. I do recall the times when I was confronted by my employer to tone down my writing as to make it easy for most people to understand the contents of my article. Which is proven true since most people, particularly English speaking countries, can't seem to contemplate their own native tongue when it comes to reading it. 

This comes as a surprise for most non-English speaking countries that are currently being outsourced to undertake various tasks such as copy writing, proof reading, transcribing and word editing. Is the English language still what it is? Or should we blame the Internet for diversifying how people should comprehend it? It seems more likely the later, since the English vocabulary started to lose its substance when the Internet became the primary means of delivering information in a global scale. Compromises should be made with regard to giving people the convenience of understanding what they are reading in a blog, website or just about any informative article that they may come across on the Internet. But don't you think that people should also come into terms with improving the way they are able to understand what they read?

In the Philippines, where most English speaking writers are outsourced and employed, there are a lot of  people who know to speak conversational English. But do not expect a lot from this country as most people know how to read and write in a most passive way which leaves only a few that really know how to speak and write it properly as it should be. Do not expect the King's English or some Shakespearean Prose to be accounted on their resume, for this is but a rarity in this part of the world, unless you should happen to come across someone who delves in such sort of things. English is a beautiful language and if I may say so, a language that most people use in a daily basis around the world on their endeavours. It still remains a question on how it came to be slenderized to conveniently conform for the convenience of those who can not properly indulge themselves in the simpleness of its use.

Writing has always been about imparting the clarity of the truth in a subject being dealt with and it is within the skills of the writer to give various aspects on what the truth is regarding a certain topic. If you are to write something that has nothing to do with the truth of what the subject matter is about, then it is quite clear that you are misleading your readers. Always take to account the ideals of the famous writer Ernest Hemingway as a basis on how a real writer should define a subject matter. There is nothing like the truth to stir the interest of your readers, no matter how dull, mundane or even blatantly boring the subject is. The true skill of a writer comes out when they are able to make the simplest subject matter interesting, whether you are writing about a technically immersed subject or even about rocks, it is always on the writers personal aspect and perspective in which the topic comes alive.

Never be afraid to learn new things when it comes to honing your craft as a writer, as there are a lot of open suggestions which can improve your skills that comes from people who know how to improve your particular writing style. I for one had the so called Hemingway syndrome, which makes me write very long sentences due to having been influenced by the true master of the one true sentence. As my employer pointed out, keeping it short and simple along with putting it in a straightforward manner always gives your readers the information that they are looking for. The Internet is about information and giving people the information that they need in the simplest possible explanation will entice your readers to come back to your web page. Pride should make you discern but gratitude for learning new things is more important to improve your skills as a writer. As a parting gesture, never forget to thank the people who made you see your mistakes as a writer, your mentors and your employers. Thanks boss, I really learned a lot from you. 

A Prisoner of the Mind

Imagine someone who is going through an episode of panic attacks and incoherently shouting out on the top of their voices of things that do not make sense. These panic attacks are accompanied by intense bouts of paranoia making them think that people around them are out to kill them, even close family members. This is the usual manifestation of dementia associated with the degenerative condition caused by Alzheimer disease which affects people that belong to the age groups between 60 to 80 years of age. Despite research and intensive medical research to help slow down the advancement of this mentally debilitating disease, there is no definite clear path of clinical treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's disease is quite similar to the symptoms manifested with ALS (amyothropic lateral sclerosis) in which the brain neurons start to disconnect from the locomotor connections that simulate muscular functions associated with movement, auditory sensors and mental faculties. Alzheimer's has been the key proponent in memory loss among old people in which 1 out of 10 is likely to show signs of classic senile dementia when they get to a certain age (60 to 80). Bouts of manic depression can be seen when a patient starts to hyper ventilate, complaining most of the time that they can not breathe even though the room is well ventilated. This quickly progresses to incoherent shouting stating that they are being held prisoner against their will.

Violence is a common occurrence as most patients will not let themselves be touched even though they can not longer manage to keep their balance. Most patients going through this episode prefer to take off their clothes completely without any reason at all, stating that they feel more comfortable that way. Decency should not be expected as most patients tend to exhibit child-like behavior that explains their often irrational answers to simple questions. Self denial can be considered as one of the most common psychological behavior that people affected with Alzheimer's often show. Interestingly though, there was a clinical study that positively confirms that there is a clear line that associates the onset of Alzheimer with people that have developed Diabetes. Study shows that 80% of people that were afflicted with diabetes during their senior years showed signs of Alzheimer's that rapidly progressed because of blood toxicity caused by the imbalance of their blood sugar levels that affected the neural connections of the brain. Another cause which greatly is being debated by researchers is the psychological fortitude of the patient's across demographical representations with consideration of race, social developmental factors and nutrition.

In third world countries, there are is large segment of elderly people that are affected with Alzheimer's disease because they lack nutritional value in their diet, particularly in the Philippines where the quality of life dips greatly below the poverty line. Most of the elderly people here are fed with instant noodles that contain harsh chemical flavorings and preservatives. Social beliefs are also a major influence along with educational understanding as there is a clear pattern that suggest that mental aptitude has a lot to do with a person's ability to discern the rationality of their emotions coupled with achieving their mental stability. Most sociologist have suggested that happiness, in all of its meaning is nothing more than a human condition, same as pain and both ambiguous just as well. As clearly seen with people with Alzheimer's, most subjects affected with this disease often cry out to satisfy their wants and needs. Religious beliefs, particularly the belief in salvation in all of its aspects are often shouted out incoherently which clearly states that there is a time that people affected with Alzheimer often come to terms in questioning the validity of what they have longed stood up for which has been an influence to their upbringing. There are studies that clearly indicate that countries that have a high diversity of religious beliefs show a high rate of elderly people that are affected with Alzheimer's disease.

Psychologist state that giving your mind too much to think about tends to wear down the neural connections that affect mental fortitude and rational thinking. Especially now that the way of life runs at a much faster pace than it was 100 years ago. Also, the quality of life that we live now has a great impact on how our bodies react to the various chemicals that it ingests from various food products that are formulated with synthetic flavorings and preservatives. Most people with Alzheimer's disease require to be kept in solitude and can pose as a danger to others and themselves if kept along with others that have a similar condition. There is no sense in talking to people with this disease to show them the rational perspective of reality as they have no more grasp of the actual reality that is happening to them. All they are waiting for is their time and Alzheimer is not giving them a chance to live their remaining time in this life with dignity. Most people that are inflicted with this mental disease often defecate within their room, even urinating on their tea cups. To say the least, they even tend to wake up in the middle of the dead of night and move about, turning everything inside their room into one big chaotic mess. Alzheimer's disease is the end of human dignity in which a person looses all rational mental faculties. Just goes to show how interesting the human body is and all of its splendor, after all, God created man in his own image didn't he? Then again, this may be a clear explanation in why this whole world is so messed up.

Things To Hate About The Philippines: Filipino Dog Eaters

Despite the advancement of modern day living in this country (Philippines), I still could not understand why there are still Filipinos that indulge themselves in killing dogs just for the sake of cooking the flesh while savoring it as if it was a delicacy. As far as it is very embarrassing to admit, this takes the letter “P” in the word “Pilipino” to a whole new perspective such as “P” for “primitive”. There are a lot of things that you can easily hate about the Philippines without even trying, as some of the most obvious scenarios can be seen once you step out into the streets. But nothing really multiplies my hatred for this backward thinking society as their love for dog meat!

Filipinos have been doing this for God knows how long and it seems that they have never changed a bit. Especially the Ilocanos, who with their so called “Ilocano Pride”, who are the most avid practitioners of killing dogs and eating it despite the efforts of the Philippine government that has already outlawed this primitive and mindless act of animal cruelty. But, as the saying goes, “law makers are also the law breakers” as the effort to stop this very stupid cultural practice that spans the entire Philippine archipelago from north to south. There is really something wrong about the Filipinos, that I can say hands down.

Especially in the provinces in where people gather like the primitives that they are, to kill helpless dogs to cook for their own enjoyment, in which they partake as “hors de'ouvre”. What's more spine chilling is that they even teach their children to eat the cooked dog meat...talk about utter ignorance. No wonder this country is so messed up. I am not really surprised why Filipinos get into trouble in other countries because of their primal mentality in which is a really funny scenario since karma works in mysterious ways...what goes around, comes around. Dog eaters! Bah humbug!

In a province called Pampanga, there is a small community there that eats cats! Seriously? Cats?! Unfortunately, this is quite true as there are a lot of documented reports concerning this. Why do Filipinos like to do this? That. I can not know as it goes beyond the rationality of the status quo of the life in the Philippines. I would understand if it was a means of survival, but not like this! People in this country kill cats and dogs as casually as they do with other livestock. You should see their dumb faces as they savor the cooked dog meat in their mouth as they drink to their hearts content while singing awful karaoke songs.

People who are genuine pet owners here sometimes discover their dogs missing and would search for them. Unfortunately, to their horror, they would soon discover that their pets were victimized by deadbeats who have eventually killed their pets, to be used as food for a drinking spree on the street corner. Despite humane efforts to reduce this situation, the practice of killing cats and dogs in the Philippines, still continues up to this day, to the dismay of international animalrights activists. It seems that Filipinos will remain what they are for as long as they will not accept changes in the way that they think.

I am a Filipino as well, but I hate this practice of killing dogs for the lamest reason of enjoying feasting on the flesh of dogs and cats. I hope that the natural course of nature will do something about this in the coming future so the practice of killing domesticated pets stop once and for all. And if you come across a Filipino along the way, do the right thing and give them a piece of your mind with regard to this blatant and dreadful practice of eating cats and dogs. Pets are our friends, not our food regardless of any situation.

Plight of the Filipino Overseas Contract Worker

The labour force of a country is the backbone of its social progress, quite true. But in some countries especially in the Philippines this remains an ironic melancholy of sorts. The Philippines is one of the world’s top provider of cheap labour to countries which need such workers ranging from house hold help,entertainment and medically related fields.


The country earns from this and is an integral part of its economy in a point that the country’s educational system is veering away from old and obsolete traditional methods integrated almost a century ago into a more simplified and straight forward educational system solely for the purpose of processing the whole Filipino society into a labour ready commodity.


Strange as it may seem, some educational institutions even advertise on mass media about these so-called educational institutions concerning job assistance programs for students that enrol and undergo their educational programs and give the public an impression of complacency regarding employment guarantee.



As a country that was once colonized by the United States, the country has one of the highest literacy rate in the South-east Asian region. But even though it is true, the Philippines are still facing a plight within its own domestic employment problems. Local unemployment rates are growing at a statistically uncontrollable rate despite of government programs to induce alternative measures to provide a temporary solution to this problem.


The government has already instigated an educational reform program adding 2 more years in both the primary and secondary levels of the school system. This ratified implementation aims hopefully to help those who go through the program acquire a certain degree of proficiency geared towards a higher chance of employment possibilities that are available in the present economic system.




Even though there are countries that employ the Filipino work force there are still undeniable hurdles that have to be considered. One such issue is that of the European Union’s ongoing warning to the schools that are offering seafarers courses in the Philippines. It is said that in the coming years, the European Union will cease to employ the services of Filipino seafarers unless that the said schools that teach such courses meet the European Union standards that are required on all European Union flags carrying vessels.


The said sanctions will be implemented in the next 3 years and unless the Philippines meet the standards imposed by the European Union, a great number of Filipino seafarers will lose their jobs because of a faulty substandard educational system.


The cost of sending children to school in the Philippines is quite high despite being a third world country and despite of government claims of economic growth and stability, the inevitable is still very obvious! One cannot deny that such adverse claims of social prosperity not be fully manifested in this society. An average child would be allocated an amount to almost a little bit more than 1,000,000 pesos just to acquire a decent college education but the guarantee of a stable job opportunity is not as directly proportional to the value of acquiring it.


We might say in a reserved manner that it is quite a gamble to invest in your children’s future, and thus the emergence of the informal educational system which consist of an educational program aimed to develop basic skills implementation which is in demand at the moment and  that it requires only the basic skills set intended for the international labour requirements.


In short, the economic labour growth is directly proportional to the global labour needs of the international labour market, and the Philippines have started to follow with the demands of the world in regards to labour. The Filipino people have become a world commodity not as to dehumanize the term but the fact of the matter remains, third world countries such as this, have no choice but to follow unwittingly and choice less or be left out in the cold reality.


As Filipinos, we are a hard working class of society never ever questioning the purpose of adverse labour despite the for the obvious reasons of servitude to others. This condition of a hard-working mentality goes back to about 400 years to the infancy of this Asian society.


The Filipino mentality toward labour has a funny history for that matter. It can be seen in the ordinary household where it takes place early in the morning as the day is about to start. Parents would often wake up their children very early to do menial   household work such as cleaning, cooking, laundry and all sorts of things. Laziness has no place in the household and everybody does their share in all work done within.


This idealistic principles are passed down from generation to generation and is considered one of the most sought after aspects of Filipinos that landed them a niche in the international labour market. Where does this all lead to? Let's go back to the time where the Spanish colonizers took reign over the country and enforced a slave labour mentality to the point of enforcing it to the natives of the country.


The Spanish master would come down and forcefully wake their Filipino slaves and order them to serve them without any humanitarian considerations. Added to that enforcing strict methods of labour sanctions including rationalizing everything including the distribution of food!


To tell you the truth, 400 years of enforcing such methods have a huge psychological effect upon a society that up to this day, the Filipinos have suffered a sense of psychological inferiority towards foreigners. Which explain why as a nation, the Filipino people are so accommodating to foreign principalities!


And even though they thrive to achieve a sense of self-worth we still fall short on many aspects considering acceptance as equals in a world that perpetuates social equality but in fact we are led to make-believe that we serve and that we as a nation have a purpose! Yes, we do have a purpose and that is to be slaves of the system of the World.

 
Purpose? To serve. Bred to a point where all social aspects of a positive outlook in life to mould us into doing what the World wants us to do.Conspired by governments and systems integrated by conglomerates with just one purpose….. Lambs to the slaughter.
