2020: So What?

A stark reality from what the internet perceives, everything that the world wants us to believe has fallen into a false speculation. That there is hope, that there is a bright future ahead for us but in reality, it is just one big heap of horse manure! It has just been two days after the first new year, and I feel like my whole 50 years on this earth has just been one big fucking lie.

The internet, for what we all perceived was just one big public relations machinery, designed to control and influence our personal opinion and to coax us into believing it's "good intentions" is all but a big farce. A big marketing campaign that draws out our personal opinion, creating data that can be used against us,and that same data, used to manipulate our own personal opinion.

Nothing speaks more clearer than speaking from a drunken stupor, which to my own opinion, reeks the truth.  A clear, cold moonlit night, walking my friend home to the bus stop and taking a glance at all the closed businesses along the road. Dead and silence, nothing but a pale guard light that gleams a faint beacon on a dead and empty sidewalk. Building and establishments that once was bustling and teeming with people are now dead as the darkness of the night engulfs their facade.

It suddenly came to sense that we try really hard to create meaning to our vague existence, even to the extent of giving hope to others who otherwise are clearly hanging on their last thread of life. Are we just fooling ourselves? Even though the ambiguous truth is already slapping us in the face? everything around us is a lie and the only truth is despair and demise. Our perception of time and space makes us believe that we are special beings that can bring about change to the world and the people around us.

But the blatant truth is, we are all but specs of dust, too irrelevant for the universe to even take notice or even care. There will be no one left to remember us as the grandiose civilization that we think we are, and the next thousand years, we will have started to disappear. What is even the point of pursuing greatness when the entire human civilization will perish in the end?

After a few million years, every living organism in this planet would have been fried crisp as the sun expands and engulfs the planet earth. What is the point of everything that you have worked hard for in your life?

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
